Alarming Situation

I beg to differ with you on those highlighted lines, if only you had implied that our nation are ignorant when they enter the voting booth, then I would be in full agreement with you.

Alarming situation
We hear everyday of sordid happenings crime, theft, sexual abuse, corruption, fraud, and the list goes on adding to our shame and disgust. Too much is too much. Behind sweet appearances we see the blunt, naked truth. What is our home secretary doing apart from appearing in the media ? And yet we are still divided in ourselves. We talk of spurious unity in diversity. We are to blame if our island has become so topsy turvy. We
simply are not that enlightened to understand each other and to fight united the common enemy
. And politicians divide us the more to stay in power. We gulp their empty rhetoric. Let us take our destinies by the forelock and assert ourselves instead of being at their beck and call. We must be fed up by now with the present state of affairs. Still we do not realize that the best brains are leaving this country despite your PRB increases and what not. Nepotism is rife. Only influence counts… And some people still do not realize that education is not confined to the four walls of a class. The term has to be redefined. So many dynamic things are happening that we are losing sight of new ideas. Discussion on any topic should not be limited to some who have but stagnated with ideas two decades back. Mentors are serving no purpose in schools. Pompous talks we hear from them. No practical solution. We as conscious citizens should take our destinies in hand. Such a small beautiful country cannot have so many problems and the charming speeches won’t rid us us of our despair and frustration and they say our country is yielding positive results. We have too many pseudo experts in this country of ours.
