cheapest way to go to mauritius

can anybody suggest a really cheap way of going to Mauritius....it seems that the Airlines are allegedly operating some kind of Cartel...and to be honest that would not surprise me at all...

For those who are not familiar with the term Cartel...it means a group of people or organisation collaborating to artificiallly maintain an agreed price.

This is illegal...but it does happen.

Try calling the various mauritian travel agents and most will quote the same price to Mauritius.....

Time to rise up people and boycott these ruthless parasites....

peace

who knows
All these airlines are in some sort of joint venture.
However, it seems Virgin Atlantic are operating alone...Though for some reason Virgin Blue (Australia) have made a joint venture with Air Mauritius for luggage / baggage transfers. Not sure if this will affect the Atlantic prices but who knows

i recommend air seychelles used it in november, air mauritius quoted me £800 i paid £550 with air seychelles yes there is a one hour stop in seychelles but i actually prefer it as im not the type to sleep on planes and for the first time i did. I went with air mauritius in april and didnt sleep a wink because it was non stop, so for my next visit next year i will be using them again!!

I doubt il ever fly with anyone else to go mauri...

There are some good deals on Air France.co.uk too ( Air France specials ).......I paid £ 560 in june of this year travelling from Newcastle......the bonus is that there is a code share between them and Air Mauritius....the plane I travelled on from Paris CDG was an air Mauritius plane and it was the same on the return journey too....

i agree with anitap i have traveled with air Seychelles 10 times to Mauritius and they have never let me down or gotten me upset it fully creole they speak creolel and the foods creole hehe the tickets non peak are £400.00 return and peak during august £700.00 which i have found really cheap compred to alll the travel companies the crew are extermeley firendly and not too strutted up like other airlines flying to mauri and best thing if you like to carry a lot its 30kg baggae allowance and the frequent flyer is great too as it gives you many supplements and a good deal on points given if you are a frequent traveller i have always booked with sunset travel club in croydon try seraching it up! and the seychelles stopover is worth it too !!
