The Holidays! Finally!!!
Gosh, I’ve been desperately counting the days, minutes, hours and seconds for the summer holidays!!! And, hurrah, here they are! I’m just so excited that I’ve decided I might keep a log/diary of my summer holidays in Mauritius! After a really tough year at work – there was so much hustling and bustling at work this year – I feel that I do deserve a cool, relaxing and enjoyable summer (don’t we all deserve it!). Today, when the alarm went off at 6.30, it was my usual flare-up of irritation and my usual outburst of “why the F**** was work invented!” Then, I remembered that it was the last dayyyyy… woopie, I jumped out of bed in an eager rush and believe it or not (yeah, I know you’ll laugh at that Vanessa), I was one hour earlier to work. We had to work for only two hours and then we had a splendid, luscious barbecue. Afterwards, we went to the pub to have a drink (mine was non-alcoholic as usual – my colleagues have got used to hearing me say that I do not need alcohol to have fun). Now, I am in bed, laptop on me, typing these keen lines… expressing my thrilling gusto for the holidays. Well, guys, you now understand how I’m considerably looking forward to my holidays in Mauritius. I wish you all the most joyous summer holidays ever! Enjoy and have utmost fun!

i would appreciate if RADIOMORISYENS could keep a log of their summer holidays... share them with us! it would be fantastic to know what you are doing... to know your adventures and misadventures! Even if you end up with atrocious boredom. No matter what you are doing/have done write it out.
I'm starting off by going to sleep right now (went to sleep late yesterday as i went out for dinner with colleagues)... and tomorrow i've got a very loaded day (got last shopping to do and packing). A lazy but relaxing start i should say! What about you guys? What are you up to? ( you can write in English, creole or French).

Sophia, what a well deserved holiday, eh! Having had your eardrums blastered by the energetic kids all year round, there's nothing better than retiring yourself in the comfort of mummy's warmth. Enjoy yourself girl, take advantage of the informality of your surrounding and eat all your dream dishes.
You'll be surprised how fast your stay will come to an end, so make the most of it. You will be missed on the forum and knowing you, you will make every endeavour to try to contact us while you are away. Have a nice holiday girl. Rocco
